Bonnet or absorbent pad cleaning – there is some similarity with this method to dry foam, except that the carpet cleaner will have to set a big cotton bonnet on the carpet. The rotating action will cause the bonnet to absorb the dust and dirt from the carpet. You can think of this method as a large cotton mop or towel rubbing the dirt out of the carpet. Here, rinsing or flushing is not present, but there is a need for frequent changing of the bonnet in order for the process to become very effective. Failure to change the bonnet can lead to soiling again. Bonnet cleaning is not restorative process, but it is an effective method.

Dry and absorbent powder – in this one, the dry-compound will spreadthe absorbent powder, which is moist, throughout the carpet. The powder is then dried and then sucked into the vacuum. This method will leave dry sponge particles at the carpet’s yarn’s base. Again, this is not a restorative cleaning method.
